the importance of a vote

Security is tight in Ulan Bator, Mongolia in the wake of violent clashes over alleged electoral fraud. International observers said Sunday's general election was free and fair, but opposition supporters say the result was rigged. When preliminary results gave the ruling party victory, crowds of protesters gathered on the streets. The ruling party headquarters was burnt and scores of injuries were reported. At least five people were killed, a minister said.
