Darfur: Cease fire now

It is "Global Day for Darfur", with events taking place worldwide to raise awareness of the killings in the Sudanese region.
Demonstrators in Rome accused Sudan's president - who has just visited the Italian capital - of having blood on his hands. Omar al-Bashir's trip to Rome was controversial. Italy's Prime Minister Romano Prodi was criticised by human rights groups and EU politicians for hosting the Sudanese leader who pledged to observe a ceasfire from the start of peace talks next month.
